  Peter is really good at explaining things and can read the audience and react if they are starting to wain. I also liked his low-level explanations of stuff, not having come from a background in tech I found it beneficial to see the nuts and bolts of the system that is usually just assumed that you understand.

  I liked learning about the new functionality of Java 8, including the lambda expressions you can have. It makes your code look more condensed and generally nicer.

  Streams and Lambdas were extremely enjoyable to learn. I had tried in the past to get into them but failed. The instructions and tests for these were very clear and made a difficult topic easy to learn.

  I liked how much practice we got throughout the course and how helpful Peter was at helping us through any issues we had. Even if you didn't understand certain material through the slides, you understood it once an exercise happened.

  Overall the program was a very positive. There was a huge amount of detail covered and I found the pace to be excellent and the exercises a huge plus. Peter was a fantastic teacher, extremely knowledgeable but more importantly he presented the course in a manner that encouraged questions and allowed for a relaxed and entertaining atmosphere. I wish that the colleges had teachers with his level of knowledge and ability to teach.
